TitleFREE webinar for STC members: How Is Writing Collaboratively Used to Our Advantage?
StartWednesday, October 05, 2016 02:00:00pm EDT
EndWednesday, October 05, 2016 03:00:00pm EDT
Description

Modern word processors enable people to work on the same document at the same time. Google Docs, for example, enables people to be literally at the same place in a document while adding, deleting, and moving text at will. Google Docs is very popular and many people see the simultaneous writing feature as a great asset.

Given that we can work simultaneously now, how can we harness that capability to make work more efficient? What can you do with simultaneous writing? This talk starts to answer this question by teasing out patterns across a handful of stories about simultaneous writing, using many different systems over the past few decades.

October 5, 2016 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM EDT
