Build your skills. The SIG website provides an extensive repository of knowledge about the editing profession, including materials from value-adding programs, newsletter articles by seasoned professionals, presentation notes, book reviews, watercooler chats led by experts, and links to resources in STC and other organizations.
Build your network. Discussion lists, online chats, regular membership meetings, and social media outlets (including Twitter and LinkedIn) provide ample opportunities to get to know other SIG members and make valuable contacts in the profession.
Build our profession. The SIG provides many ways to volunteer your talents and skills to strengthen the SIG and our profession.
